The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, northerly moderate to strong prevailing and freshening. Expect warm and humid conditions. Increasing haze and cloudiness. Barometer unsteady but falling. The weather conditions are still threatening northwards.
