The University Senate resumed its discussion on the proposal by the 11 ofessorial Conference in regard to the abolition within the next five years of the external examinations for degrees in arts. This was rejected by 17 votes to 6, those in favour being Professors Hunter, Haglit, J. D. Brown, Rev. Evans, Hoghen, Sir Maurice O’Rorke,
