RESULT OF A TRAGEDY
An effect of tho recent shooting cast in Melbourne is that during the las. ten days (states the Daily Telegraph there has been a large increase ii the sale of revolvers. A leading gunsmith stated on Tlmrs day that nearly 75 per cent of hi: customers are purchasers of the hands and easily-portable revolver, the fav ourite pattern being the Belgian make He also said that during his twenty years’ experience he could not remem her when the trade in firearms hac been so brisk before. Another gunsmith stated that it the last week he had sold as many automatic revolvers as he would ordinarily sell in three months. He war of the opinion that the increased sale; were the result of the alarm causer by die Melbourne outrage.
