PIGEON SHOOTING.
MAN FINED FOR CRUELTY.

A man was filled 10s for wounding a bifd in a pigeon match. The bird fell out of bounds. ami was allowed to lie for fifteen minutes, according to the rules prohibiting shooters picking up birds out ,of bounds. The decision was based on the gronnd of the new Cruelty to Animals Act, which provides for a penalty for iUti-eating animals, wherein wounding constitutes ill-treating.
