NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
Messrs Masters and Sons, merchants, announce that as jam and preserve making time is near, they have opened up a stock of jam jars, and in fact all ingredients necessary to make delicious preserves. Messrs R. Hannah and Co., highclass boot dealers, notify that they stock the world’s best makes of boots and shoes, and respectfully request the public to view their window display. Entries are now being received for Messrs Gillies and Naldcr’s horse fair, which takes place on Saturday, January 25 th. Mesrs Gillies and Nalder bold a stock sale at the Glover Road yards, Hawera ,on Thursday next. Entries to date for Messrs Gillies and Nalder’s next Eltham sale are advertised. A family to milk a herd of 40 cows is wanted. A single man wants a situation. At the Stratford saleyards to-mor-row, Mr Newton King, auctioneer, will sell 2000 head of mixed cattle. Entries appear in another column.
