Mr Pugsley, replying to the statements of Conservatives' that Germany was only waiting an opportunity to attack Britain, said that such statements were intolerable for a single instance in the British House of Commons. No reputable statesman would make them. The ' Conservatives attacked Sir William Lauder’s loyalty, referring to his attitude at the Imperial Conference, when Sir John Findlay, of New Zealand, was greatly disappointed with Sir Wilfrid Lauder’s attitude.
