DISTINGUISHED VISITORS.

IN THE INTERESTS OF SCIENCE

Melbourne, January 16

A meeting of the Federal Council appointed to arrange for the visit in August of a large number of members of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, announced that the Commonwealth Government had granted £15,000 to cover the cost of passages.

One hundred and fifty official representatives, including selected Dominion and foreign scientists, will make the visit. The Council decided to ask the British Association to name 25 members for an official party who will extend their visit to New Zealand, the Dominion Government contributing £3O towards the expenses of each member.
