In the Home Rule debate, Sir John Simon emphasised the diminished viru fence of the Home Rule controversy as compared with formerly. Mr. F. Smith asked the Premier tc declare the terms on which the Government would consent to the exclu siqn of Ulster. Mr. Redmond said the exclusioi would be opposed chiefly on the gronno that nothing would compensate the Nationalists for the mutilation of the country.
