(Received 11.35 a.m.) Paris, January 16

The third ballot of groups of Republicans left in the two Chambers to choose the candidate for the Presidency gave M. Pams, Minister for Agriculture, 323 votes, this being one below the required majority. M. Poincaire got 309 votes, and several others smaller votes. M. Dechanel and M. Dubost previously retired from the contest.
