RUSH FIRES IN NEW SOUTH

The hot weather produced bush fires at Moruya, Bodaila and Penrith, and much fencing was destroyed.
ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES. I 1 ' IT “* “ACCIDENTAL DEATH.” (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, January 15. At the inquest on John Brady, who fell off the river steamer last week, and was drowned, a verdict of accidental death was returned. DROWNING FATALITY FEARED.
Wanganui, January 15
Another drowning fatality is feared. This morning at four o’clock a married man named Arthur Hill Campbell left his house at Wanganui East scantily clad, and has not been seen since. It is thought he got into the river. The police are dragging the river.
