US. COMMERCIAL MORALITY.
HONEST MEN AT A DISADVANTAGE. (Received 8.0 a.m.) Washington, January 12. Mr. Woodrow Wilson, Presidentelect) at a commercial club, said that business men throughout the United States were much distrusted. The reason, apparently, was that people did not believe them. Honest things done under the whip of the law were done sullenly, and were never successful. Perfectly honest men were at a disadvantage because business methods generally were rot trusted by the people. The poor man’s chance ff ob tabling justice was generally believed to be much less than the rich man’s.
