A NEW DEPARTMENT.
IMMIGRATION. The Government has decided to separate the Immigration Department from the Lands Department, and establish is as a separate Department under the Hon. Mr Bell (Minister of Internal Affairs). The Under Secretary of the new Department w.ll be Captain J. Eman Smith. A new appointment will be made to the position of Secretary to the Cook Islands Department, which henceforth will be carried on under a chief clerk.
