FEAR OF A MASSACRE.

Perth, December 22; It is feared that another desert tragedy has occurred on Canning f stock route, between Wiluna and Kimberley, where last year a pndy « three", overlanding cattle from nail s Creek, were massacred by a night attack in camp by Warrigal blacks. 1 he latter subsequently attacked the police punitive party and suffered heav IOSSGS. A police telegram from Wiluna states that Mr Robert Kearney, the' owner of Eladge station, 100 miles north of Wiluna, left on December b with five blackboys and eight horses for Kimberley, by the Canning s route. Three of his horses have returned almost dead of thirst. It is feared that Kearney’s party were massacred by bush blacks. 'throe troopers from the Geraldton police district with several trackers are being sent in search. Wiluna is about lOi) miles north of Meekatharra, the most northerly railway station 11. the State, 625 miles from Perth.
