GENERAL TELEGRAMS. MONOPLANE AT PIGEON BUSH. (Per Press Association.) * Featherston, December 29. An attempt at flight with a monoplane was made on Christmas Day a Pigeon Bush, but owing to some misunderstanding on the part of the aviator’s assistants the machine wa: allowed to ascend before the preps: time. The result was that the mono plane fell violently to the ground, am it is reported that the operator wa; injured. The machine has been tak en back to Wellington for repairs, bait is understood that another effor will be made at the same locality. MOTOR “JOY RIDE.” Timaru, December 29. The defendant in the case of the disastrous motor car “joy ride” last night turned up later, and it is understood that he pays for the damage done.
