FIRES.

o DWELLINGHOUSE DESTROYED. (Per Press Association.) Gisborne, December 30. The residence cf J. D. Bell, Mangapapa, was destroyed by fire on Saturday night. There was an insurance of £3OO in the Government Insurance Office, and the furniture was covered by a policy of £IOO in the Queensland Office. A WAREHOUSE BURNED. Dunedin, December 29. A fire occurred in Butler Bros' three-storied warehouse in Water Street at 2 a.m. to-day. When it was discovered it had a strong hold, the brigade arrived smartly and soon had control. AVith the exception of a collar-maker all those connected with the premises are out of town, and m particulars are available. The dam ago by fire and water will probabh amount to several hundred pounds.
