TELEGRAPHISTS’ TROUBLE
Melbourne, December 24. Mr Fraser, Postmaster-General, denies that the new roster of the Sydney telegraph office is working unsatisfactorily. On the contrary, reports received indicate that the condition! have very much improved. Sydney, December 24. There has been unprecedented congestion in the Telegraph,office. The Herald complains strongly of disorganisation and delay. The operator! ■declare that the new system of shifts is responsible. The Herald states that a number of men have been knocked up by the excessive strain, ano urges the necessity of a public enquiry into the chaotic conditions.
