HOSPITAL COLLECTIONS.

This morning towards noon six little girls, bearing in their hands collection boxes, were the first tangible evidence that Stratford is going in for a “Hospital Saturday,” if a Tuesday collection could be so called. Their requests for contributions were generally met'with the deposit of a coin, and the kiddies were evidently appreciating their self-imposed task. Speaking candidly; however, it docs not appear ais if the committee which has had the arrangements in hand, has been over energetic or over enthusiastic. However, more collectors will be engaged this afternoon, and it is hoped that a good sum will be collected for this worthy object.
