The Government’s reply to the United States representations is full oi resentment against Mr Knox’s charges of ill-treatment of Americans, alleging that in many cases the Americans themselves were blameworthy. The ultimatum is now being prepared. The Yaqui Indians massacred thousands at San Marchial, Sonora State, in the American quarter outside the town and escaped. The Yaquis did not show quarter, butchering everybody.
