The Times’ Toronto correspondent writes that British Unionists must convince the British people of ffie lnperial value cf preference and rot impose tho responsibility of advocating a policy upon the Overseas. The Chronicle publishes the views of Messrs Fisher, Deakin, Hughes, and Milieu on Mr Bonar Law 3 proposal. The paper, in its comments, says they hesitate to declare themselves so emphatically as the Canadians regarding friction and the danger to the unity of the empire horn the proposal, but they cannot see ar y practical purpose in the now i ary dodge.
