MAIL NOTICES AND HOLIDAY

ARRANGEMENTS

Following are the hours to be observed and the duties performed at the Stratford Post Office throughout: the Christmas and New Year holidays.

CHRISTMAS. On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, 24th, a delivery of letters (including registered) will be made over the countei. between 7 and 8 o’clock. All pillar, posting boxes (except those at Kahouri Bridge and Bird Road) will be cleared at 9 p.m. I On Christmas Hay the Post Office will be closed; there will be no clearance of pillar boxes; outgoing mails will close finally at 8 a.m., and inward mails will be sorted into private letter boxes on arrival. i The Telegraph Office will open from 9<30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and again from 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. , 1 The Telephone Exchange will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to G p.m. On Boxing Day the Poet Office will be open in all branches (except Money! Order and Savings Bank) from 9 a.m. l to 10 a.m. There will be the usual morning clearance of pillar boxes. Mails will close at 8 a.m., and incoming mails will bo sorted on arrival. One complete delivery will be made by letter carriers. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 7 to 8 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will be open as usual from 7 a.m. to midnight. NEW YEAR. On New Year’s Eve there will be a delivery of letters over the counter from 7to Bp.m. Town pillar boxes will be cleared at 9 p.m. On New Year’s Day the Post Office will be closed. Mails will close at 8 a.m. Incoming mails will be sorted on arrival and no clearnces of pillar boxes or delivery by letter carriers will be made. The Telegraph branch will bo open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 7i p.m. to 8 p.m. I The Telephone Exchange will be) open from 7 a.m. till midnight as usual.
