CONFERENCE OF AMBASSADORS
(By Electric Telegraph..—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) London, December 7. The Government has received Austria's acceptance of Sir Edward Grey’s suggested conference of ambassadors. The other Powers had already acquiesced. Austria, Germany, and Russia suggest conversations in London on the suitnation arising out of the war. ‘The Times’ states that AustriaHungary and Italy have remonstrated with Greece against the bombardment of Avlona. The Albanians have appointed ten Ministers as a provisianal government under Ismail Kernel. THE AUSTRIAN FLAG. London, December 7. The ‘Chronicle’s’ Vienna correspondent reports that it has become known that the insult to the Austrian flag at Werizrend was of such an extraordinary nature that it was humiliating. Satisfaction will be sought. The demands include the removal of General Janovich as commander of the Servian corps, the degradation of the oflicers participating in the outrage, a Servian regimental march past the Consulate, saluting the Austrian flag, and King Peter, in full dress, to visit the Austrian Minister at Belgrade and apologise.
THE GREEK DELEGATES. London, December 7. The ‘Daily Telegraph’s’ Athens correspondent says that the delay in the receipt of a telegram fi’om the Greek delegates at Chataldja caused the Greeks to be left out of the armistice. The allies thereafter concurred that it would be better in the common interest that Greece should remain out, leaving her position neutral and in a position to prevent Turkish reinforcements from Asia Minor and coal supplies reaching Constantinople, where there is a coal famine. THE GREEK ATTITUDE. , Sofia, December 7. Official circles do not expect great trouble from the differences with Greece King Nicholas declares that ho will not sign any treaty refusing the Montenegrins possession of Scutari.
PEACE NEGOTIATIONS, 1 (Received 9, 9.5 a in.) London, December 8. The peace negotiations will be leld at St. James’s Palace. Athens, December 8. The Greeks’ captures include Santa Guaranta. The cruiser Makedonia captured the Italian steamer Adriatico at Avlona, where it was embarking Albanians. The Makedonia is taking Hie Adriatico to Corfu. Fifteen hundred Albanians attempted to surprise the Him ora Pass. Major Spiromilio, at the head of the Greek volunteers, gallan.'y defeated the aterapt. The inhabitants if the I hand of Symi have proclaimed a union with Greece, and have notified ihe Italians that they were resolved to prevent the Turks from returning and would rise against the ItaMain if they aided the Turks. One thousand armed inhabitants, under the command of a former Cretan priest, are v prepared for eventualities. Sofia, December 8. It is semi-offieially stated that the Bulgarian casualties total 75,000 killed and wounded.
