DETAILS OF THE DISASTER. Kingston, November 22. Restoration of communication is being made in the affected districts. The death roll is a hundred in the coast towns alone. All the coasting sloops and schooners in the harbour at Greenisland foundered, and the majority ol the crews were drowned. The Gover-nor-General has arrived at Montego, and ordered the despatch of tents to house the homeless. Ait Savai Malamar, the tidal wave was the highest experienced for a century. It washed a coasting vessel half way. up the main street. All the churches and railway stations were unroofed. Forty dead have been recovered. The wrecked buildings were levelled by the. water’s force. PRIEST KILLED AT MASS. (Received 11.10 a.m.) Mexico City, November 22. The destruction of the town < f Acan bay by an earthquake is confirmed Scores of women are dead. When the church was destroyed, a priest was killed while saying mass. People are camping in the fields, fearing further shocks. The damage at Eloro is slight. The railroads are impassable, owing to rock slides.
