Owners and trainers are specially asked to note that all nominations for back events aie 10s, an inducement surely to' nominate freely. In nearly every event die prize money Ims been substantially increased ,the total stakes offered amounting to £ISOO. This year the Stratford Cup is an open event of 200 sovs, and there are three other wellendowed open events on the programme. Nominations close on Monday, December 2nd, at 9 p.m., with the Secretary, Mr A. Coleman. TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB. Owners and trainers are again reminded that nominations for all events at the Taranaki Jockey Club’s Christmas Meeting close with the-secretary, Mr E. P. Webster, at New Plymouth, at 9 o’clock, this (Friday) evening. A Sydney cablegram says that Lady Medallist has been retired to the stud.
