ALLEGED ESPIONAGE.
‘ A JACK TAR IN TROUBLE. (Received 11.15 a.m.) London, November 18. George Charles Parrott, a dismissed gunner recently attached to the warmup Pembroke, has been remanded to Westminster. At the Police Court evidence was given that accused was shadowed since July owing to the corro.pandence and telegrams received by him. He was seen to meet a foreigner at Ostend, and was arrested fetching a letter from a tobacconist’s shop in Chelsea. The letter contained £lO, travelling expenses, and the sender begged him to enquire into the movements of the fleet.
