INDUSTRIAL UNREST.
NEWCASTLE MINERS. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Sydney, November 18. IA, meeting of members of three Millers’ Lodges in the Newcastle district discussed the intolerable position arising out of the frequent stoppages of the collieries, and resolved to continue work under all the circumstances until there was any dispute when it would be referred to an executive and joint committee. Twenty-five Lodges now resolved similarly. MUTTON SLAUGHTERMEN. ' The mutton slaughtermen at Glebe Island are still out. Two hundred are affected. Two Companys are working, the trouble being confined to the carcase members of the Butchers’ Association. The suburban shops are still in full working order, and the price of meat is unchanged.
