INDUSTRIAL UNREST.
THE STRIKE AT TAUPIRI. Auckland, Last Night. The Taupiri Coal Mines directors held a conference to-day regarding the position at the mine and the decision of the men to resume work. No official notification of such interntion had been received. The directors decided to state the conditions upon which individual workers, excepting those whose services have been dispensed with, will now be employed as follows, for the time being: The hours of work will bo the same as those contained in tho now suspended award j the directors state definitely and clearly (a) that they are prepared to enter into a new agreement between the company and a union registered under the Arbitration Act, (I)) that they will not under any circumstances recognise or enter into any agreement with tho Labour Federation.
