ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
TWICE RUN OVER. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, October 27. A single man named John Bollard, aged 38, residing at Newmarket, was killed at Newmarket last evening by being run over first by a motor car and then by a tram car. A man named Wool ridge, working night shift on the slip on the Main Trunk line, mot with a painful accident on Sunday of last week. He was helping to remove a tree slump when it broke unexpectedly, and falling on his thigh, fractured it in two places. The unfortunate man was rendered first aid hy a chemist that happened to he near, and then conveyed in a special carriage to Taihapo, to receive medical attention.
