CRUELTY TO ANIMALS. Dunedin, October 24. At Milton to-day, before Mr. Bartholomew,, S.M., Win. Porthwick was charged with cruelty to a bullock. The Magistrate said that the evidence was insufficient to prove that burning took place before the animal was dead, hut some injuries had been inflicted. Defendant was lined £5, with £2 17s costs.
