The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. O. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows; Winds voidable, but freshening to strong breeze find gale from the westward. veering later to west by south. Weather squally and changeable, with rain .following. Barometer unsteady, but rising after 20 hours.
