STRIKE LEADER IN COURT.
(Per Press Association.) Waihi, October IS. A number of cases of offensive fol-lowing-up and the use of insulting language was commenced this morning before Mr Fraser, S.M. The first was a charge of using insulting language .brought by the police against Charles Smith, a prominent Socialist and strike leader. Evidence for flu prosecution was given to the effect that Smith used the terms “scabs” and “dirty scabs” to a worker named Heath.
