The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. and Reduced, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 10th instant:—London Wool Sales: The sales closed strong; 136,000 bales of wool' were sold, of which 18,000 were taken for the Continent and 6000 for America"; 7000 hales were held over. As compared with last sale’s closing rates, prices are higher by about 5 to 7} per cent for merino, medium and inferior, and coarse scoured crossbred.; and' l higher by about 10 per cent.; for coarse greasy crossbred. .
