King (Opaki) with a score of 269, G. Hyde (Opaki) being second with 261. lyng also won the all-corners’ aggregate, with 11. J. Smith (Opaki) second. ATHLETICS. London, October 10. In the 130 yards championship of the world, run. at Pontypridd, Donaldson beat Walker by three yards in 12 3-sscc. TUOOF-WAR. Sydney, October 12. In the tug-of-war semi-finals of the Allcomers Unionist Championship, the, Carlton Brewery (Victoria) beat the New Zealand Drivers in one minute twenty-six seconds. The Burns Club beat New Zealand in forty-five seconds. New Zealand pulled twice. In the finals of the International Match, Australia beat Scotland at the full time of ton minutes. Allcomers (Carlton) beat the Burns Club in seven minutes fifteen seconds. BOXING. The Porter v. Maxwell boxing match , lias been postponed for the present, owing to Porter having to undergo an operation to one of his ears.
