Strike matters are quiet here this' morning. A mass meeting of miners is being held now.

The members of the new band under the auspices of the Miners’ Union left to-day for Auckland to take part in the demonstration to-morrow.

The hearing of the cattle deal case, Worth v. Snell, has concluded. The Magistrate reserved his decision. Owing to civil business, the strike cases were adjourned until Tuesday next.

The Grand Junction Co. notify that they are now ready to let stopping aaid other contracts to parties of mining contractors.
