General lan Hamilton is staning a year's tour of inspection cf all the over 'seas forces, except those of Australia and Zealand. Speaking at the Birmingham Institute, General Hamilton said that a.hal. should be called in the practice or pretending that cadet corps were mer.elj for physical drill. This was useless patriotism without entrusting tin boys with a bit of patriotic work. It, would cost £380,000 to cqi'ir>,7oß,OOJ boys. The amount should bo immediately provided.
