President Taft, in an authorised interview, repeated that-he would certainly bo re-elected President. lhe Regular Republicans were certain to carry the east, and were holding sufficient of the middle States to ensure victory. Tne Democratic strength had failed to materialise, if the Republicans won, their first duty would ue to revise tne tariffs.
