Midnight Sun has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. OTAKI RACING CLUB. The following are the results of the yesterday's racing in addition to those already published:— Stewards' Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs.—Katua" 7.13, 1; Lady Louisa, 8.4, 2; Vladinoy, 7.4, 3. Peroneal 8.10, Eocene 8.7, War Queen 7.12, Miss Roberts 7.11, Lady Volley 7.9, Papamarama 7.4, and General Madero 7.4 also started. Katua came fast in, the straight, and won comfortably, Lady Louisa dying away. Time, lmin 20 3-ssec.

Flying Handicap, of 130 sovs; six furlongs.—Patriotic, 7.8, I; Allurement, 7.12, 2; Parewanui, 6.7, 3. Mt. Victoria 7.13, Turna 7.12, Merry Frank 7.12, Makara 7.12, Gay Lawless 7.2, Obligaht 6.13, Deploy 6.13, Penaa 6.13, King's Favourite 6.11, and Muleteer 6.7, also started. Patriotic won by a neck, -the third horse being two lengths away. Time, lmin 21 l-ssec. Welter Hack Handicap, of 80 sovs; seven furlongs.—Black Lupin, 8.7, 1; Serenity, 8.12, 2; Torpoint, 8.7, 3. Matlow 10.0, Blend 9.9, Kina9.9, Semaphore 9.0, Panther 8.10, and Grandee 8.7, also started. The winner led throughout, Serenity just stalling off Torpoint's rush for second place. Time, lmin 36sec.
