up; A. Barnaul defeated F. Gordon, -V up and .3 to play; O. H. Druco defeated T. 1). Harman, 2 up and 1 to play; linlay Saunders defeated J. B. Lusk, 3 up and 2 to play; H. B. Lusk beat W. Seifert, and Kapi Tareha boat T. Crosse easily, and A. Seifert beat L. Seifert, 3up and 2to play. in the afternoon H. B. Lusk boat Saunders, 1 up; Barraud beat Kuropo, 1 up; Druco beat Moore, and Kapi beat A. Seifert easily. Barraud will meet Druce and Kapi will meet Saunders in the semi-final. H. Crosse (6), 3 up, won the 18hole bogey match. J. R. McLennan (11), 2 up, was second. J. Strang, 82—1—78, and R. P. Abraham, 88—9—70, lead in the stroke handicap, with W. T. Harman 83—3— 80, E. S. Pearce 87—7—80, and R. Stowe 94—14—80 next. RIFLE SHOOTING. London, September 10. In the Senior Imperial Challenge Shield Competition for naval cadets, Albany was first with an average of 90.3. A company of the Ist Battalion, ; South Melbourne, was fifth, and the j A Company of the Naval Cadets, Largft ; Bay, South Australia, sixth. In the junior competition Cottesmore School, Brighton, England, was first, with an average of 89. I) Company, Naval Cadets, South Australia, were seventh.
