(Per Press ’.Association.) Dannovirko, September 4

Tlio inquest concerning the death of .Mrs Annie Mary Beck at Lower Xorsewood on Friday night last, was resumed yesterday at Orrnondville. Tiro evidence given showed that hlood stains were found on the hack of the doors loading to the kitchen and ■hathroom. A medical witness was unable to state whether it was human hlood or otherwise. Other evidence showed that a man named Dennesen stayed with Mrs Beck for several days, during which tune heer and rum were indulged in hy three members of the household, and on Thursday night all were more or less under the influence of liquor. Deceased foil down on the way to hod near midnight, and her husband had to help her into her apartment during the night. Dennesen sleeping in the next room alleged ho heard Bock and the wife quarrelling. The latter asked her husband not to beat her any more as she was sore all over and could not stand it. Dennesen said Beck assaulted him on Thursday, making his ear bleed profusely, and again .assaulted him on Friday, this time in the vicinity of the hack door, hut witness did not think any blood from his oar fell on tllio floor or on the doors. Ho left at four o’clock. Another witness stated that Bock had been drinking more or loss heavily for the last eight weeks. When hr visited the house on Friday afternoon Beck was under the inliuence of drink and Mrs Beck, who was in bed, appeared to have been drinking. The inquest has boon adjourned till to-day.
