HELPING SETTLEMENT.
(Per Press Association.) Nelson, September Mr. Herrics opened the Kiwi-Clen hope section of the Nelson railway be fore a large number of settlers. Hi left by the early morning train, returning in the evening. At a gathering at Cleahopa, the President of tin Chamber of Commerce (Mr. A. A. Lucas), presiding, a number o' Parliamentarians and business men, the former from all parts, were present. The line will greatly assist settlement in the back country, and make profitable for occupation thousands of acres in the Murchison and surrounding districts.
