Baron Desturier, a large plantation owner in Java, is visiting Sydney. lie warns Australia to watch China, whore population is too large to provide for under the enlightened conditions about to be initiated through the introduction of Western ideas by the establishment of the Chines? Repubbc. They must find outlets for surplus population and Northern Australia’s present undeveloped state offers the best opportunity.
