PROPOSED PROMOTION FROM THE LOWER DECK.
W ADMIRALTY CONCURS
(Received 13, 10 a.m.) Sydney, May 13. The Federal Government has decided to inaugurate in the Australian Navy scheme promotion from the lower deck, provided the British Admiralty (oncurs. It is considered that this will have an important effect in inducing boys to join the Navy.
