Investigations conducted by the Dominion Entomologist establish no connection between wood ticks and spinal / meningitis. It was previously believed that wood ticks, which arc common in many parts of Canada, conduced to if they did not cause the disease. The Entomologist, however, has established that Rocky Mountain fever is due te wood tick bites. The disease is of a spotted variety and frequently fatal in Montana and. Idaho.
