INCREASED PRICES PROBABLE

Following the advance that lias occurred during the last year or two in the prices of articles and lines in every-day use and consumption, further' increases in the prices of general groceries are probable, and, in some instances, certain. . A reporter, during the course of inquiries, learned from one of the largest wholesale distributors in the city that the prices are now finely cut. Grocery' lines are bound to advance very shortly. , After a careful calculation it has been ascertained that the wholesale importers’ business costs at least II per cent, more t.o run now than was the case two or three years ago.
