ALLEGED UNFAIR TREATMENT.

(Per Press Association.l Wellington, May 7. The alleged unfair _ treatment of ‘Wellington'’by the fire insurance com-, panics as far as the rates are concerned was again discussed by the council of the Chamber of Commerce yesterday., A letter was read fiom the Underwriters* Association stating that the Association had no particulars with regard to fire losses m Wellington for the years 1909-10-11, and consequently could not supply the information sought by the Chambei. the letter also stated that no alteration could be made in the “A’’ area. After lengthy discussion a motion was adopted requesting a conference between the Chamber and the representatives of the insurance companies with a view to discussing the whole matter.
