The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date Is! instant:— Wheat.—We have sold an Australian cargo at 40s 3d c.l.f. There is very little demand owing to increased supplies, and the outlook is uncertain. We quote per quarter c.i.f. Now Zealand wheat, long-berried, 38s. short-berried 37s 6d. Tallow.—Wo quote present spot values for the following descriptions:— Good mutton 36s per cwt, good beef 34s 9d, mixed 32s 6d. The market is firm.
