Wo would like to draw the attention of the thrifty wives and mothers to our advertisement on page 4 about dress goods, just to hand by s.s. Surrey, from Manchester. Of course, wo know that words and figures in cold typo do not count for much, no matter how they are set out. It is the practical demonstration and comparison that counts and convicts. We are anxious to press tin's, conviction on the minds of our readers, that these goods are all that wc would represent them to bo—tha best, thu most serviceable, and the cheapest goods of their kind to be found in the district. Wo ourselves are more than pleased with their value, and feel sure that for winter wear both for mother and children—boys, as well as girls—thev will give the utmost satisfaction.
