There was perfect weather for the second day of the Hawlce's Bay Jockey Club's autumn ! meeting, and a good attendance. The Governor and party were present. The totalisator investments amounted to £13,307, against £10,711 for the second day last year. The total for the two days was £25,300, compared wit!:: £21,128 at the last autumn meeting. Concluding results: — Hawke's Bay Stakes, of 400 sovs; six furlongs and a half.—Bon Ton 7.8, 1; Brown Owl 7.0, 2; Prince Soult 8.7, 3. Culprit (bracketed with Bon Ton) 8.12, Medio]] 7.10, Glade 7.1, and Warlight 6.8 also started. A great race. Prince Soult and Bon Ton led to the railway bend, where Brown Owl came tli rough and supplanted Prince Soult. The run home resulted in favour of Steads' colt by inches, with three lengths between second and third. Glade was fourth. Time, lmin 21 1-5

Burke Memorial Stakes, of 300 so^/s; one mile and a quarter.—Masterpiece 8.0, 1; Lady Moutoa 6.12, 2; Mangaoroa 7.1, 3. Sublime 7.5, Sir Tristram 7.2, Aviom 6.12, Te Puia 6.10, Vi 6.10, Loci) Mabin 6.10, and Amato 6.8, also started. Loch Mabin, followed by Ariom, led to the turn for home, whore Masterpiece went to the front and won by two lengths. Mangaoroa put in a challenge a furlong from the post and ivas beaten by Lady Moutoa by a neck for second place. Time, 2min Osec.

Scurry Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs.—Stellaris 7.11, 1 ; Ngakau .7.6, 2; Thrave 9.6, 3. Amaru 8.0, Pot Luck 7.]2, Boronia 7.8, Facsimile 7.0, Ranfurly 6.10, Missile 6.10. also started. Won by half a length, with a head between second and third. Time, 1 min 2 3-ssec.

Mangatarata Hurdle Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile and three-quarters. —Waiputere 10.5, 1 ;Whakaweira 11.2, 2; Dogger Bank 10.6, 3. Woolloomooloo 10.5, Siiva 9.13, Appin 9.10, The Spaniard 9.0, Game 0.0, and Quandary 9.0 also started. Won by two lengths, with a similar distance between second and third. Time, 3min 15 2-ssec.
