(Per Press Association.) Napier, April 27. A strong branch of the Association of Honorary Members of the Territorial Force was formed here last evening with the object of giving those not compelled to serve the opportunity to assist the new defence scheme by their moral support. One employer present declared that the Defence Act was one of the most beneficial ever placed on the Statute Book. Wanganui, April 27. At Waverlcy last night a man mimed Barnard O’Reilly, about 39 years old, was thrown from a horse, sustaining serious injuries to the head. He died this morning.
