CHURCH SERVICES.

Licenses to shoot imported game may now be obtained at the Stratford Post Office. The Foresters’ winter series of dances will be opened on Monday next witn a “long night.” The Rev. T. H. Roseveare, who lias been appointed moderator of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Stratford, during the vacancy in the pastorate, will conduct the services in that church next. Sunday, and preach the charge vacant. There was a very large attendance at the euchre party and dance held at the Midhirst Hall last evening, under rue auspices of the newly-formed Midhirst Gnu Club. Mr. C. E. Seabright, the secretary, is to be congiauuatecl on fie excellence of the arrangements, the opinion of all those who went to cue Social from Stratford being that it was a well organised success. The inclemency of the weather on Wednesday evening, though it 'prevented many people from venturing out of doors, did not lessen the enjoyability of the concert and dance organised by the Stratford Lodge of the United Ancient Order of Druids. Every printer tiio lodge has a piagramme of social entertainments, (gad the success of the first this season' augurs well for the ones that are to follow. The floor was in excellent order for dancing, which whs maintained till an early hour of the morning. The Stratford Orchestra supplied the music, and extras were played by Mrs. Biauchi and Mr. RoberLsona Mr. Twolrll gave a most enjoyable song, and ilir. Sharrock a neatly-executed step-dance. It is intended to hold these entertainments fortnightly.
