SERIOUS INUNDATION.
A VALLEY SWEPT AS RESULT OF A BURST DAM. FIVE HUNDRED HOMELESS. (Received 26, 11.20 a.m.) New York, April 25. Five hundred villagers are homeless at Milliville, Syracuse, where a dam collapsed' releasing a lake two miles long. The flood swept all before it in the valley. Scores of houses have been levelled. Telephone girls stopped at their posts and warned all subscribers. Everyone fled' and all were saved. Three power plants were destroyed and two other dams were carried off.
